Joining forces with local school administrators, teachers and staff Lay It Forward Chicken Project provided over 100 chickens to the local school providing food and an opportunity for the students to learn how to raise and care for chickens.

VNCGC also donated 100 chickens to the local school so that fresh eggs could be served to the children as part of our “Food for Thought” healthy lunch program.  The children also learn how to take care of the chickens which is an important skill to have in their community.

One goal of this program is for receiving families to provide chicks, eggs or food to other families or the school. While some families did this we are currently reworking this program to achieve greater success in this area.

Vietnam's Children: A Global Connection

To date, nearly 2000 baby chicks have joined the Lay it Forward Project, contributing daily to improving the lives of vulnerable children in Lang Son. For $10.00, you can help a family raise a flock of chicks, by buying 4 chickens for the school’s “Lay it Forward” Program.

Won’t you “cheep in” for this wonderful program?

With an eye towards helping families improve their economic situation in a sustainable way, the “Lay it Forward” Chicken Project was hatched.
